Course Overview

Diploma in Social Work and Community Development Level 6 is a competency-based TVETA approved program offered at Talent Eye Training Institute (TETI). It aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies to support vulnerable individuals, groups, and communities in improving their quality of life.

Duration

2 Years – 6 Semesters

Intakes

January / April / August

Industrial Attachment

Trainees will undergo 12 weeks of industrial training with a recognized social work and community development institution as a prerequisite for course completion.

Assessment

Assessment is both internal and external. Internal assessment is continuous and overseen by accredited verifiers. External assessment is administered by TVET CDACC. Students must maintain a portfolio of evidence.

Certification

Upon successful completion of each unit, students receive a competence certificate. A diploma is awarded after completing all units.

Entry Requirements

• KCSE mean grade C- (Minus)
• Certificate in Social Work and Community Development Level 5
• Equivalent qualifications as determined by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
• Any other international qualifications approved by KNQA
